It’s because these subjects fall under language arts! Reading comprehension and essay writing lead to the ability to research, understand, and write about every other academic subject. Even “story problems” in arithmetic are easy to solve once your child can read and comprehend.

Gramma Kat Academy is a skill-building resource designed to help your child develop the fundamental tools he or she needs to excel in any educational environment.

Each field is tied to a development level. This chart shows how your child may move through the levels.

The Levels

Skills Development – Recognize and recite the alphabet and numbers 0 – 9, recognize basic shapes and colors
Primary – Trace letters and numbers, recognize upper/lower case pairs, see patterns in numbers, count from 0 – 9, use basic shapes and colors
Beginner – Trace words, read sight words, associate sounds, group numbers, see more complex number patterns, use shapes and colors
Intermediate – Write simple sentences, recognize basic parts of speech, solve basic math equations, compose and color simple drawings
